2022 has disappeared in the blink of an eye. But we’re looking back on yet another great year for our agency and feeling more grateful than ever.

For our final blog of the year, we’re looking back on some of our highlights from the past year…

1

Awards

Back in June, we were crowned winners at the Purpose Awards 2022 in the Best Public Awareness Cause campaign category for the Small Talk Saves Lives campaign we delivered for Samaritans and Network Rail. It was especially great to be able to attend these awards at BAFTA Piccadilly along with Lucy Terry from Network Rail and Olivia Cayley from Samaritans!

And then in September we were ‘Highly Commended’ at this year’s Prolific North Marketing Awards in the Charity/Non-Profit category for the very same campaign. It was a real honour to have had our work recognised by two such prestigious industry awards – not only because it’s high praise for our incredible team and all those involved on the project, but because it draws even more attention to such an important cause.

2

New clients

We won a number of incredible new clients this year across charity, health and social care, fostering, rail and education, giving us the opportunity to sink our teeth into some really important and change-making projects. Some of our new clients include Greater Manchester Combined Authority – who we’re currently working with to recruit foster carers across the region – and the University of Exeter, who appointed us to their multimedia design framework.

The fact we’re able to retain and continually grow our client portfolio is a true testament to the incredible work delivered by our very committed team.

3

New starters

We welcomed some fantastic new faces to the Eleven family this year, with Rachel Oliver joining us at the beginning of the year as Senior Marketing Strategist. Mel Hurst joined our Client Services team in January and it wasn’t long before she was promoted to our Senior Account Manager for New Business, where she’s doing a fantastic job onboarding our new clients!

Our digital and creative teams also grew this year, with the appointment of Andy Lester as our new Head of Creative and the addition of Joe Hardy as Junior Graphic Designer. We also welcomed Jack Harrison to our marketing team as Digital Advertising Specialist. And last but not least, we most recently welcomed Emily Roberts to the Client Services team as Senior Account Executive. Emily also supports Rachel as Junior Strategist.

Team socials

To celebrate our rapidly growing team and a year free from lockdown restrictions, we ventured out of the office for a few team socials this year. In May, we all headed off to World of Wedgewood for a ‘pottery throwdown’ style afternoon. We had a great time learning how to use a pottery wheel and many of our finished creations sit proudly on our desks back in the office!

And in October, we decided to try our hands at pasta making at Bradwall Bakehouse. We felt so well looked after by the team there who kindly fed us delicious homemade cakes and Italian desserts halfway through, and we enjoyed eating our pasta creations for dinner that evening.

To round it all off, we celebrated our Christmas party at Churche’s Mansion this year – an award-winning restaurant just a short walk from our office. It was lovely to properly celebrate Christmas in person as a whole team for the first time in two years!

We’re so looking forward to seeing what next year has in store for us, but until then we’ll be enjoying a much-needed Christmas break. Wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Our offices will be closed from 5pm on Friday 23rd December to 9am on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
